Lately, some of my friends have asked about my blog. Why haven't you been writing? When are you going to update your blog? I need a laugh.
Believe it or not, I've got very valid reasons. I could use the ol' I've-been-so-busy excuse, but no one wants to hear that. So what if I have two kids who are involved in everything available in the tri-state area. I've got time while they're sleeping, right? Or I could always blame it on the gazillion hours spent, either physically or mentally, on my day job. But I've been teaching for awhile now, and it's never gotten in the way. I suppose I could blame it on politics and the exorbitant amount of time it consumes of my day. That's a straight up lie, though. I hate them all and have completely lost interest. To be honest, I just couldn't figure out why I felt like I didn't have time for my blog.
So I decided to inventory my day... Apparently, I've been spending all my blogging time on some very important stuff. Why else would I neglect it so? That's when it occurred to me just how I spend my time. I, indeed, have been very busy. Doing important stuff. When I finally upgraded my phone, the Apocalypse did not happen as many thought would be the case. Thank God 'cause things could be real bad right now.
Instead, I've become an integral part of the farming community. And the zoological society. Oh, and the owner of a very lucrative pet shop/bakery.
Uuuuggghhh... I've gotten myself into mess. I'm addicted. I have to admit it. Crazy lady here. I know.
But you should see my zoo! It's awesome. I probably have over 100 animals! I'm constantly adding new exhibits. In fact, there's a new section under construction as I type.
And my pet shop, too. I'm not a big fan of cats and fish, but I have an extensive collection of dogs. The breeding is coming along nicely, too.
While my bakery is a bit small, it has a nice ambiance. I'm a master chef and have received awards for my strawberry cakes and croissants. I'm quite the generous gift-giver, too. I like to visit my neighboring bakeries to tip the wait staff.
But I'm most proud of my farm. It's adorable. I have a nice house with a pond in the backyard. And I'm making a killin' on soybeans and cotton. I am diligent about watering my crops as well as those of my neighbors. Yes it's time-consuming, but I'm quite proud of the booming business I've created.
I. AM. A. LOSER! Really...
Oh, gotta go. My white truffles are ready, and I've got a sick giraffe.
